The Representational Art Collection
at the Bennington Center for the Arts

Bruce and Elizabeth Laumeister, (right, with bronze by Israeli sculptor Victor Halvani) have collected fine art for over 30 years.  Wildlife, figurative and art of the West, completed by many of today's finest artists, make up a majority of the work.  In building the Bennington Center for the Arts, the Laumeisters' goal was to bring world-class art to the residents and visitors of Southern Vermont.  Their permanent collection and a variety of national shows such as Art of the Animal Kingdom, Arts for the Parks, Impressions of New England and the American Watercolor Society's exhibitions are on view each summer so that everyone in the area will have the opportunity to view extraordinary art while in the beauty of Southern Vermont.
