Art of the Animal Kingdom

Since Art of the Animal Kingdom's first year, in 1996, we have been proud to bring artwork by some of the world's finest wildlife artists to our patrons in Southern Vermont.  Our Special Guest Artists have included Carl Brenders, Michael Coleman,  Nancy Howe, Bob Kuhn, Jan Martin McGuire, Sandy Scott and Daniel Smith.  They have exhibited their work alongside many other fine artists from around the world in our annual exhibitions.  Most of our artists are well-established, but certainly not all.  We are pleased to be able to exhibit the outstanding work of some of today's finest emerging talents as well as the work of world-renowned talent.

AAK is an annual, invitational show and sale, usually consisting of approximately 90 pieces of two- and three-dimensional artwork.  Invitations are sent out to artists before the holidays, then reminder cards are sent in late January.  The jurying is done in the spring with the help of the Special Guest Artist.  All work must be for sale at the time it is submitted to the Center.  Notification is sent out to all submitting artists once the jurying has taken place so work on the catalogue can begin.

Art of the Animal Kingdom XI will open June 10, 2006 and run through July 30.

If you have not received an invitation for Art of the Animal Kingdom, but would like to, please send examples of your work along with a bio and a self-addressed stamped envelope to:

While many artists have web-sites, we do prefer to look at photographs or slides of artwork, so thank you for your patience in using the postal service.  We will review your information, send it back to you and hopefully add you to our list of invitees.

Should you have any questions that were not answered above, please feel free to e-mail the Center, or contact the director at the above address.
